6 bovine smugglers arrested | 43 animals rescued

Ramban, Apr 22: Ramban Police arrested six bovine animal smugglers and rescued 43 animals illegally transporting towords Kashmir on Monday.

Police sources said on the directions of SSP Ramban Anuj Kumar Police teams of Police Station Station Batote, Chanderkote and Ramban intercepted five vehicles.

They said all the five vehicles were found loaded with animals that too in cruel manner and without any arrangement of food and water. They further said animals were transporting illegally. The sources said all the five vehicles were seized and 43 animals were rescued.

They said vehicle bearing registration No - JK 14J- 9710 was seized and driver of vehicles Zaroon Ahmad resident of Ladhwal Tehsil -Batote, Ramban was arrested as five animals were found loaded in his vehicle.

In other instance Police Party of Police Station Chanderkot seized a vehicle bearing registration No JK-14H-0839 and and Mohd Arif resident of Jhakar, Udhampur as vehicle was found loaded with three animals.

Similarly a Police Party of Police Station Ramban intercepted three vehicle's bearing registration No JK-14-E-7706, JK-20-C-3868 and JK-19-7933.

They said three drivers Bilal Ahmed resident of Sachihall,Banihal, Mohd Irfan resident of Sooli,Gaam Ramban and Ghulam Ali resident of Dhalwas Ramban was arrested.
