5 persons injured in Karnah road accident

Kupwara, April 25:   A private vehicle collided with an electric pole on Thursday evening in Baghbella area of border town Karnah leaving 5 persons injured.

The injured were immediately evacuated to Sub District Hospital Karnah where after primary treatment, they were referred to Srinagar for advanced treatment.

The injured have been identified as Rasiq Akhtar (33) resident of Pulwama, Shabir Ahmad Peer (30), Mudassir Ahmad Shah (24), Parvaiz Ahmad (24) and Mohammad Afzal Shah (35) all residents of Handwara. According to reports the injured are employees of Roads and Buildings department and are posted at R&B Division Handwara. They had gone to Karnah for a tour.
