5 persons booked under PSA in Baramulla: Police

Baramulla, Apr 1: Five persons were booked under the Public Safety Act (PSA) and lodged at Central Jail, Kot Bhalwal Jammu and District Jail Udhampur, Police said on Monday.

The arrested persons have been identified as Asif Ali Bhat of Badipora, Tangmarg; Muhammad Yaqoob Bhat of Palhallan Tantraypora; Waseem Mehraj Farash alias Waseem Farash of Khanpora, Baramulla; Bashir Ahmad Sualiah of Mohalla Jadeed, Baramulla; and Bilal Ahmad Dar alias Shakir of Wusan Khoie Pattan.

“Notably many cases are registered against these persons and were involved in the disturbance L&O and subversion. Despite their involvement in many FIRs, they did not mend their anti-national and social activities,” reads the statement issued by the Police said.
