5 J&K IAS officers promoted to selection grade
Jammu, Jan 2: Five senior Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers of AGMUT cadre from J&K have been promoted to the selection grade.
These officers are: Syed Abid Rashid Shah, Piyush Singla, Mohammad Aijaz, Amit Sharma and Ravinder Kumar, all IAS officers of 2012 batch. Shah, Singla; Aijaz and Sharma were among those 19 IAS officers, currently posted in the cadre, promoted by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA).
“In pursuance to the recommendations of the Screening Committee in its meeting held on December 19, 2024, these IAS officers of AGMUT cadre, currently posted in the cadre, are hereby promoted to the Selection Grade (Level-13 in the pay matrix) with effect from January 1, 2025 or from the date of assumption of charge, whichever is later,” read an order issued by MHA.
However, Ravinder Kumar is among five IAS officers of AGMUT cadre, currently posted on central deputation.
As per MHA order, they have been granted proforma promotion to the selection grade (Level-13 in the pay matrix) with effect from January 1, 2025 and on actual basis with effect from the date of assumption of charge of their immediate junior in the cadre.
Further retired IAS officer, Abdul Majid Wani (AGMUT: 1997) has also been promoted to the Selection Grade (Level-13 in the pay matrix) with effect from January 1, 2010 (notionally).
