5 injured in Kupwara accident

Kupwara, Feb 9: A head-on collision between two vehicles left five persons injured in the Tutigund area of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Friday.

The accident occurred along the Sopore-Kupwara highway after two vehicles (PB054 4287 and DL10 CF 7147) met an accident.

The locals present at the scene immediately shifted the injured to Government Medical College (GMC) Handwara for treatment.

The injured have been identified as Aazim Tariq, 7, son of Tariq Ahmad Magray of Kandi; Huzaif Tariq, 5, son of Tariq Ahmad Magray of Kandi, Arhan Tariq, Gowhar Ahmad Mir, 19, son of Muhammad Ashraf of Mughalpora, and Zamrooda Begum, 35, wife of Tariq Ahmad Magray of Kandi.
