5 dog bite cases in Ramsu

Ramban, Dec 27: Five dog bite cases have been reported from Ramsu in Ramba district.

Residents said that they had brought the matter into the notice of local concerned officials while seeking immediate action . Two to three rabid dogs roaming were attacking and biting people passing through the area.

They identified the injured as Kheam Raj son of Shibram, Samina Begum wife of Saleem Ahmed all residents of Ramsu, Firdous Ahmed son of Shamas din and Nanda Badai son of Narain Badai all residents of Ramsu.

They were admitted to Ramsu Hospital for treatment. Following the reports of Dog biting incidents in Ramsoo Naib Tehsildar Ramsoo vide communiqué No:-NTR/119-22 Date: 27/12/2023 informed SDM Ramsu, Medical Officer Ramsu, and Chowkidars / Nambardars to alert the people about the dog biting incidents Naaib tehsildar stated that on 27.12.2023 Incidents of dog biting were reported at several locations in Ramsoo. As per the report, three persons were bitten and a few others were attacked by rabid dogs. These rabid dogs are roaming freely in the area and attacking people and other animals.

“Hence you good self are requested to call the accountability of the owners of the dogs and get an explanation as to whether they immunized their dogs properly from time to time or not and you are also requested to direct the concerned department to take necessary steps to immunize the other bitten dogs immediately so that lethal disease like Rabies could be stopped from spreading in the area,” it said.
