4 tractors seized for illegal transportation of minerals in Baramulla: Police

Baramulla, Apr 21: Cracking a whip on illegal mining of minerals at Wagoora and Delina Baramulla, Police seized four tractors and arrested their drivers.

The Police initiated the action under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Baramulla, SDPO Kreeri assisted by IC PP Delina and IC PP Wagoora. The drivers have been identified as Showkat Ahmad Bhat, resident Palpora Palhallan, Mohammad Umar Chopan, resident of Mirangund, Shabir Ahmad Bhat, resident of Wagoora and Khurshid Ahmad Dar, resident of Delina Ghat.

The drivers alongwith their vehicles were found involved in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals and accordingly cases under relevant sections of law have been registered in Police Station Kreeri and PS Baramulla and investigations have been taken up.
