4 JKP officers felicitated on Sardar Patel’s birth anniversary
Srinagar Oct 31: Four officers from Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) have been awarded the prestigious 'Kendriya Grih Mantri Dakshata Padak' for 2024.
As per the official communication issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) the J&K Chief Secretary has been conveyed about the Development. "The undersigned is directed to inform that with the approval of Union Home Minister, four officers have been awarded Kendriya Grih Mantri Dakshata Padak for the year- 2024 in the field of Special Operation, Investigation and Forensic Science," reads an official communication signed by Deputy Secretary to Government of India.
As per the document, the awards have been granted to the police officers in two different fields. As per the document, SSP Sanjay Parihar and Inspector Urfan-Parvej bagged the award in the intelligence field while Mir Murtaza Hussain and Dr Satish Bhardwaj has been honoured specifically for their outstanding contributions in the field of investigation.
Notable, the initiative was spearheaded by Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah. The felicitation program aims to promote high professional standards within law enforcement agencies.
As per the figures, around 463 police personnel from various states, Union territories, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), and Central Police Organizations have been honored this year for their outstanding contributions in special operations, investigation, and forensic science.
Mir Murtaza Hussain is currently posted as the Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) in Sopore while Dr Satish Bhardwaj is posted as Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Jammu West.
The annual announcement of these medals coincides with Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel's birth anniversary, celebrated on October 31.
