4 JKAS officers transferred, posted

Jammu, Dec 25: In a minor administrative rejig, the government has ordered the transfers and postings of 4 Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) officers, including one junior scale JKAS, with immediate effect.

Postings and transfers were made by the General Administration Department (GAD) through three separate orders.

“In the interest of administration, Shafqat Iqbal, Special Secretary to the Government, Agriculture Production Department, has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary to the Government, Higher Education Department,” read the GAD order.

Dr Ravi Shanker Sharma, Special Secretary to the Government, Higher Education Department, holding additional charge of Mission Director, RUSA, has been transferred and posted as Special Secretary to the Government, Agriculture Production Department.

Through a separate order, Bilal Ahmad, Deputy District Election Officer, Kulgam, has been transferred and posted as Deputy Secretary to the Government, Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj, with immediate effect.

Through another GAD order, Indra Thakur, Junior scale JKAS, presently posted as Project Manager, DIC, Samba, has been transferred and posted as Administrative Officer, J&K Forest Protection Force, against an available vacancy, on ex cadre basis, with immediate effect.
