4 injured in Uri accident
Baramulla, Feb 10: At least four persons were injured after a vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a gorge in the Gharkote area of Uri in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday.
Among the injured are two brothers.
The injured have been identified as Sharif Din, Din Muhammad, Abdul Majeed, and driver Mudasir Ahmad Beigh.
An official said that the incident happened when a vehicle (JK05H 6384) was on its way to Uri.
He said that the driver of the vehicle lost control over the wheel while negotiating a curve and the vehicle skidded off the road and fell into a gorge.
The injured were shifted to Sub District Hospital (SDH) Uri where they were referred to the associated hospital of Government Medical College (GMC), Baramulla.
An official of the GMC Baramulla said that two of the injured persons had received critical head injuries and were shifted to Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS), Srinagar for specialised treatment.
