4 -day International Film Festival concludes at Tagore Hall
Srinagar, Nov 24: The four day Jammu Film Festival and the International Film Festival of Srinagar organised by Womed Rang Manch concluded at Tagore Hall.
At the closing ceremony of the festival, MLA Lal Chowk Ahsan Pardesi was the chief guest. This joint edition of the festival was dedicated to late Mushtaq Kak, the eminent theater director and actor. The festival screened 78 films from 29 countries in different languages, including short films, documentaries, and feature films.
In his address, Pardesi said in his address congratulated the organisers, especially festival director Rohit Bhat. “There is a dire need to organise such a film festival in Jammu and Kashmir so that the youth here can get an opportunity to show their talent. Our young generation can contribute to Jammu and Kashmir and the country with their talent,” Pardesi said.
The closing ceremony of the festival was attended by a large number of film lovers and local artists.
