4 bovine smugglers arrested | 70 bovine animals rescued

Ramban, Apr 8: Ramban police arrested four bovine smugglers and foiled four bovine smuggling attempts at Patnitop Batote and Ramban on Srinagar-Jammu National Highway on Monday.

Police sources said on the directions of SSP Ramban. Anuj Kumar Police teams of Batote and Ramban have foiled four bovine smuggling attempts, arrested four bovine smugglers rescued 70 animals and seized four vehicles.

They said police teams of PP Patnitop and Police Station Batota intercepted two vehicles bearing registration JK 19- 2658 and a vehicle having Temp. No 6493. During checking 23 bovines were found laden inside both the vehicles which were tied cruelly and were being transported illegally.
