Srinagar, Nov 29: Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) has instituted a power curtailment schedule to manage electricity distribution. Metered areas will experience 4.5 hours of daily power cuts while high-loss making feeders and non-metered areas will face over 6-hour interruptions.

"The differential power cut strategy targets areas with significant transmission losses and inefficient power consumption, aiming to balance electricity demand and supply.

Consumers should plan their activities around these scheduled outages and practice energy conservation," said a KPDCL official.
