35 injured after three buses carrying Amarnath pilgrims collide in J&K's Ramban

Srinagar, July 05: Atleast thirty-five Amarnath pilgrims were injured after three buses lost control and collided with each other at Chanderkot in Jammu and Kashmir's Ramban district, officials said on Saturday.

Medical Superintendent District Hospital Ramban, Sudarshan Singh Katoch said, "35 pilgrims with minor injuries/bruises have been brought to district hospital Ramban."

Confirming that all the pilgrims are in stable condition, he said, “Pilgrims have been given first aid and are normal now.”

Taking cognizance of the incident, senior officials from the police and district administration immediately rushed to the spot.

In this regard, the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) urged the public not to panic over the news.

Meanwhile, the Amarnath Yatra via the Pahalgam route continued without any delay, officials added.
