New Delhi, Sep 11: The Ministry of Health has confirmed that at least 34 people have died and 1,368 others have been injured during the recent Gen Z-led demonstrations across Nepal.

Ministry spokesperson Prakash Budhathoki told The Himalayan Times that most of the injured have been discharged after treatment.

The Nepali Army on Thursday announced an extension of prohibitory orders and curfew in the Kathmandu Valley, with limited relaxations for public movement. According to the order, movement will be allowed only b etween 6 am and 10 am, and again from 5 pm to 7 pm. A daytime restriction will remain in force from 10 am to 5 pm, followed by a night curfew between 7 pm and 6 am. Essential services, including ambulances, fire trucks, vehicles carrying food, medicines, fuel, and water, as well as transport for health workers, security personnel and media will be permitted during the restrictions.
