3 youth found dead in Chenani

Jammu, Fed 26: Three workers of a power transmission tower construction company were found dead inside their tented accommodation in Kalori village in Gantwal Panchayat of Chenani in Udhampur district on Monday.

Police identified the deceased workers as Anil (23); Sonu (25) and Balvinder (28).

“Preliminary investigations suggested that they probably died of asphyxiation while in sleep as their bodies did not bear any injury marks. Reports suggested that they had lit the fire to keep themselves warm. However, an investigation is underway. Exact cause of their death can be determined only after the investigation gets completed. Their bodies have been sent for post-mortem,” a senior police officer said, while speaking to media persons.
