3 women among 5 injured in Katra accident
Jammu, May 17: Five Maharashtra travellers, including three women, sustained injuries, when the bus they were travelling in, collided with a truck at Chamba Morh, near Katra on Friday.
Police said, “Today at around 9.15 am, an accident took place at Chamba Morh near water point when a bus, bearing registration number JK 02BR 8383, on its way from Katra towards Udhampur side, collided with a water tanker, bearing registration no JK 20AW- 1433, at Chamba Morh. This resulted in injuries to five travellers.”
All injured were immediately shifted to CHC Katra for treatment.
Police identified the injured as Pandu Rang Timber, 53, son of Nav Nath; Naina Deshmaane, 32, wife of Dawal Deshmaane; Sangeeta, 44, wife of Subbarao; Niranjan Krishna Lagvankar, 64, son of Krishna Lagvankar and Varsha Vinayak Benares, 54, wife of Vinayak Benares. All are residents of Pune, Maharashtra.
