3 tier security cover for Rajouri counting centre

Rajouri, June 3: Three tier security cover of forces has been established in and around the counting centre for Lok Sabha elections established in Government Post Graduate college Rajouri.

Counting of votes for seven assembly constituencies of Rajouri and Poonch districts, that fall under Anantnag Rajouri parliament seat, will take place at counting centre in Rajouri College and the process of counting will start at 8 AM on Tuesday.

This counting center has been declared as restricted zone and only the permitted people who include election staff, counting staff, administrative officers, police officers, counting agents will be allowed to enter the counting center that too after proper authorisation from authorities concerned.

The district administration informed that special transport plan has been put in place in which parking spot has been created at DIET ground and staff will be ferried upto counting center through SRTC buses.

The restricted zone of counting centre is further being guarded through a three tier security cover that include outer cover of CAPF and police around the center followed by second cover of CAPF and a cover of security wing of J&K Police.
