3 residential houses gutted in Rafiabad

Sopore, Mar 18: Three residential houses were gutted in a massive blaze in Dangiwacha Rafiabad area of Baramulla district in north Kashmir.

Reports said that a massive fire broke out in one of the residential houses at Dangiwacha in Rafiabad and spread to two other nearby houses. Soon after the incident the Fire and Emergency Services team arrived at the site with men and machinery and launched a rescue operation with assistance of locals. After hours of relentless efforts, the fire was controlled, however not until it gutted at least three residential houses.

Meanwhile, officials from F&ES said that three residential houses, one double-storeyed and two single-storeyed were gutted in the incident. The gutted houses belong to Mohammad Kashif Peer, Tariq Ahmad Peer and Naseer Ahmad Peer. “The cause of the fire is believed to be leakage from a domestic gas cylinder,” the official said.
