3 persons found dead under mysterious circumstance in Bhaderwah

Ramban, Jan 2: Three persons were found dead under mysterious circumstance in a guest house in Bhaderwah last evening.

Doda Police has initiated inquest proceedings into the incident.

Police sources said last evening information was received that three persons staying in a private guest house in Bhaderwah are not responding to the repeated phone calls made by the respective family members from Jammu on the eve of the New Year.

They said despite repeated knocks by the management of the guest house on the door of the room of the guest house, the trio had not responded.

Following which both family members and management of the guest house informed Bhaderwah police.

They said on receiving information SHO Police Station Bhadarwah Sandeep Parihar along with a police team reached the spot and broke the door of the room where the trio was staying. They said the trio was found unconscious inside the room.

Following which senior police officers, medical and FSL team including Executive Magistrate Bhaderwah were informed. They said the trios were found dead.

They said in their presence bodies were recovered from the room and shifted to the mortuary of Sub District Hospital Bhadarwah.

They said bodies of the trio had been handed over to legal heirs after completing medico legal formalities and postmortem by the team doctors of a medical board.

Police identified trio deceased’s as Ashutosh Rana, son of Dilip Singh resident of Bhella, District Doda at present Purkhoo Jammu, Mukesh Singh, son of Kuldeep Singh resident of Domana ,Jammu, Sunny Choudhary son of Subash Choudhary resident of Bhawani ,Tehsil Nowshara at present Purkhoo Jammu.

Police and FSL team minutely examined the spot in the presence of SSP Doda Sandeep Mehta, Additional SP Vinod Sharma, SDPO Bhaderwah Wasim Hamdani and EMIC Bhaderwah Parampreet Singh.

Meanwhile SSP Doda constituted a special investigation team (SIT).

Additional , SP, Bhaderwah, Vinod Sharma has been appointed in charge with other professional police officers to ascertain the actual cause of death and to rule out any foul play.

SSP Sandeep Mehta told reporters that prima facie it appears that death of the trio has occurred due to asphyxiation as a charcoal heater was found in the room of the guest house.

However, to ascertain actual cause of death inquest proceedings under section 194 BNS has been initiated at Police Station Bhaderwah
