3 killed in Nagrota road accident
Jammu, Oct 27: Three youngsters were killed when the motorcycle they were riding was hit by an oil tanker at Dhammi near Panj Grain in Nagrota in Jammu outskirts on Sunday evening.
Officials stated that the accident occurred when a motorcycle, bearing registration number JK02D L1797, was hit by an oil tanker, bearing registration number JK02C R 7794, at Dhammi Nagrota near GauShala.
“Collision led to the instant death of three youth riding the motorcycle. Their bodies were immediately shifted to Government Medical College Hospital (GMCH) in NHAI ambulance for post-mortem and identification,” officials said.
Later, two out of three deceased were identified as Sumit Bargotra, 20, son of Raju Bargotra, resident of H No 257, Indira Colony, Janipur and Gourav, 19, son of Narender Pal, also resident of Indira Colony, Janipur. The identity of the third youth, aged around 21 years, was yet to be ascertained.
Police arrested the truck driver and a case was registered at Nagrota Police Station in this connection under relevant sections.
