3 killed, 3 injured in Reasi road accident
Ramban, Nov 2: Three persons were killed and three others injured in a road accident at Reasi last night.
The deceased were three members of a family including a woman and her minor son. They died on spot while three others sustained injuries after a car they were travelling in plunged into a gorge while negotiating a curve at Chamalu Mode Chassana in Reasi district.
Police officials said a car bearing registration number JK20C-6326 was on its way to Chasana from village Malikote. It plunged into a gorge at Chamalu Mode. They said soon after the accident locals of the area and police reached the spot and recovered the bodies of three deceased and shifted those to nearby hospital. The injured were also removed to hospital.
Officials said after providing necessary medical aid to all the three critically injured persons, they were referred to Government Medical College (GMC), and Hospital Jammu for specialised treatment.
Police identified the deceased as Sandoor Singh, (19) son of Sukhdev Singh, Kulcha Devi(27 ) and her (10) month-old son Neeraj Singh , all residents of Mali Kote, area of tehsil Chassana, district Reasi.
Officials said deceased Sandoor was the nephew of deceased Kulcha Devi.
Police identified the three injured as Chankar Singh,(30) son of Janak Singh, Ajay Singh, (16) son of Sukhdev Singh, and Dundkal Singh, (25) son of Janak Singh.
Health Officials at Government Medical College informed over phone that all the three injured are responding to the treatment.
Sources said the condition of Chankar Singh who lost his wife and son in this accident is stated to be critical at GMC Jammu.
Police have registered a case under relevant sections of law at Police Station Chasana, Reasi for further investigations.
On Friday a bike rider Devinder Sharma was killed and his brother sustained critical injuries after their bike collided with a load carrier in Bida area of Reasi.
On October, 30, two people were killed in tipper (Dumper) accident in Chassana, area of Reasi District.
