3 injured in scuffle at Goni Khan,Police start probe

Srinagar, Sep 30: Three persons sustained injuries following a scuffle between street vendors and fruit buyers at Goni Khan area on Monday.

The injured individuals have been identified as Owais Mukhtar Mir (20), Fariq Ahmad (17), and Riyaz Ahmad Reshi (45). All three were immediately shifted to SMHS Hospital for medical treatment, where their condition is reported to be stable.

According to preliminary reports, the altercation escalated quickly and the victims according to police were allegedly attacked with a sharp-edged weapon during the confrontation. The motive behind the incident remains unclear, and authorities have launched an investigation to ascertain the circumstances that led to the violence.
