3 IEDs recovered during CASO in Poonch villages

Rajouri, Apr 17: Security Forces Wednesday recovered three Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), during a Cordon and Search Operation (CASO) in the Gursai area of Poonch district.

The operation was launched by security forces jointly on Wednesday morning and was called off in the evening.

Officials said, “Following some specific information, the army, police and CRPF launched a joint CASO in villages under Gursai police station jurisdiction in Mendhar of Poonch district.”

The villages where CASO was launched included Gursai Tavi, Gursai Moori and Gursai.

During the operation, officials said, “A terrorist hideout was busted and ammunition and explosives were recovered.”
