3 houses damaged in Sopore blaze

Sopore, Apr 20: A two storey residential house was completely damaged and two others were partially damaged in Amargarh area of Sopore town in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday afternoon.

Reports said that a massive fire broke out mysteriously in the double-storey residential house of Bashir Ahmad Lone. The fire also spread to two other nearby houses leaving them partially damaged. Soon after the incident fire tenders with the help of locals succeeded to douse the flames. The incident left the house completely damaged as property worth lakhs was also gutted in this mishap. However, no loss of life or injury was reported in the mishap and the cause of fire was not known immediately, locals said.

Meanwhile, locals demand that the government should rehabilitate and provide compensation to the affected family.
