3 drug smugglers arrested in Kishtwar

Ramban, Jan 28: Kishtwar Police arrested three notorious drug smugglers and recovered 20 grams of heroin from their possession during a Naka checking in Kishtwar on Sunday.

Senior Superintendent of Police, Kishtwar, Khalil Poswal said that on a specific information special checkpoint was established at Malipath Kishtwar. During the checking naka party stopped a vehicle (Scorpio), bearing registration number JK17A-6891 en-route to Kishtwar from Shalimar carrying three individuals.

During the search of the vehicle and individuals, the police team recovered 20 grams of heroin.

Trio was arrested on the spot, and the vehicle was seized. They said six grams of Heroin was recovered from the. Possession of Asif Kabir Zargar son of Abdul Kabir Zargar, resident of Semna, Colony Kishtwar, seven grams of Heroin recovered from the co-driver Arif Hussain, son of Hatim Ali resident of Shakti Nagar Kishtwar and seven grams of heroin recovered from his possession of Tariq Irshad son of Irshad Ahmed Zargar, resident of Zewar Kishtwar.
