3 DIGs among 5 transferred, posted

Jammu, June 13: J&K government Thursday ordered the transfers and postings of five senior police officers, including three Indian Police Service (IPS) officers of DIG rank, with immediate effect.

As per an order issued by Principal Secretary Home Chandraker Bharti, Altaf Ahmad Khan, IPS, DIG South Kashmir Range, has been transferred and posted as DIG IR Kashmir, vice Abdul Qayoom.


Abdul Qayoom, IPS, DIG IR Kashmir, has been transferred and posted as DIG Crime, J&K, vice Javid Iqbal Matoo.

Javid Iqbal Matoo, IPS, DIG Crime, J&K has been transferred and posted as DIG South Kashmir Range, vice Altaf Ahmad Khan, IPS.


Chaudhary Iftkhar Ahmed, JKPS, Additional SP Pulwama, has been transferred and posted as DyCO IR-24 Bn, against an available vacancy.

Shafat Mohammad Najar, JKPS, awaiting adjustment upon promotion as SP, has been posted as Additional SP Pulwama, vice Ch Iftkhar Ahmed.

Through a separate order, Asif Mustafa, PID No KPS205952, DySP PC Sangam, has been deputed to the Union Territory of Ladakh, with immediate effect.
