3-day medical camp begins in Kishtwar
Srinagar, Jul 27: A three-day medical camp commencd on Sunday in Kishtwar as part of the ongoing Nasha Mukht Bharat Abhiyan.
The medical camp is being organised by G R Beigh memorial foundation.
The event was flagged off from the head office of G R Beigh memorial foundation at Bilal Colony, Soura, Srinagar on Saturday in presence of Director Urban Local Bodies Kashmir Qazi Sarwar and Chief Patron of foundation Nighat Siddiqui.
The mission was headed by Ishtiyaq Beigh, senior trade union leader and Chairman of the G R Beigh memorial foundation.
In a symbolic act of commitment and solidarity with victims of addiction, Beigh undertook a barefoot march in Kokernag and Duksum to raise awareness about the alarming rise of drug abuse among the youth.
Qazi Sarwar was awarded for his continued support for holding free medical camps, blood donation camps and Nasha Mukth Bharat Abhiyan by presenting a shawl by the foundation
Later Qazi Sarwar presented a shawl and certificate of appreciation to General Secretary Srinagar Chemists and Distributors Association Dr. Syed Zulfiqar for supporting foundation.
On Sunday, MLA Inderwal inaugurated free medical camp organised at Chatroo Guest House. He was accompanied by Chairman Ishtiyaq Beigh walking barefoot to eradicate the drug mence in J&K.
MLA Inderwal hailed the role of G R Beigh memorial Flfoundation and Chairman Ishtiyaq Beigh for their efforts to organise free medical camps, blood donation camps in these far flung areas.
The Foundation has expressed gratitude to the district administration Kishtwar, especially Deputy Commissioner, for their wholehearted support and cooperation.
