3 bovine smugglers arrested in Ramban
Ramban, Mar 22: Ramban Police arrested three bovine smugglers and seized a vehicle today, Thirty five 35 bovine animals were also rescued.
Police sources said Ramban police under the supervision of SSP Ramban Anuj Kumar have foiled bovine smuggling attempts, arrested three bovine smugglers, rescued 35 bovines and seized a vehicle.
They said 23 bovine animals were found loaded when a police team led by SHO, Police Station, Ramban intercepted a Srinagar bound truck bearing registration No JK02BQ-9787 at Police Check Post Ramban on National Highway.
They said animals tied in a cruel manner and were being transported illegally. The driver managed to escape from the spot.
The driver managed to escape from the spot. A Police team of Police Station Batote foiled a bovine smuggling bid at Nashri Naka and arrested Nazir Hussian,son of Mohammad Hussian resident of Kheri,Jakhani, Udhampur who was taking eight bovine animals on foot towards Kashmir illegally.
Similarly a Police team of Police Station Gool foiled a bovine smuggling attempt and arrested two persons Reyaz Ahmed and Zakir Hussian both residents of Dalwa Tehsil Gool District Ramban who were taking four bovine towards Kashmir illegally.
