The trio—identified as Irfan Mohi-Ud-din Dar, son of Gh. Mohi-Ud-din Dar of Sangrampora Sopore; Mohd Asif Khan, son of Ab. Rehman Khan of Harwan Bomai; and Gowhar Maqbool Rather, son of Mohd Maqbool Rather of Hardushiva Zaingeer—were detained following sustained surveillance and intelligence gathering. According to police officials, the individuals were allegedly using encrypted VoIP platforms and VPN networks to communicate with terrorist handlers across the border.

“Despite multiple FIRs already registered against them under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA), the three reportedly continued to engage in subversive activities, including covertly motivating local youth into anti-national actions,” he said.
