25-year-old Banihal labourer's body recovered from Udhampur stream

Srinagar, Sep 07: The body of a 25-year-old man who drowned in a stream in Dudu Basantgarh area of Udhampur on Friday was recovered today, officials said.

He was identified as Manzoor Ahmed Najjar (25) son of Abdul Rehman Najjar, resident of Chamalwas Banihal.

Police said Najjar had drowned in a stream on Friday.

They said his body was retrieved by police and other rescue teams around 11:00 a.m on Saturday.

As per police, Najjar was working as a labourer in Basantgarh.

However, how and why he drowned was not immediately known about.
