Kargil, Jan 21: The 20-day Second Ice Hockey coaching camp-2025 and the First Block-Level Ice Hockey Championship-2025 concluded with a vibrant closing ceremony at the Ice Hockey Rink Tai-Suru on Tuesday.

As per a release, both events were organized by ZPEO Tai-suru with the support of Councilor Taisuru, Abdul Hadi, who was the chief guest at the event, while Tehsildar Taisuru, Abdul Rehman, was the special guest.

The 20-day Second Ice Hockey Coaching Camp 2025 saw an enthusiastic participation of 180 students, who were rigorously trained by the devoted Ice Hockey Coach, Mohd Ishaq.

The first Block Level Ice Hockey Championship-2025, an initiative by Councillor Taisuru, featured seven boys' teams and four girls' teams, competing passionately for the title.

The final match of the girls' block-level Ice Hockey Championship was played between the Nun Kun Ice Hockey Team and the Suru Valley Ice Hockey Team. Led by Captain Arifa Batool, the Nun Kun Ice Hockey Team emerged victorious, winning 4-1.

In the boys' block-level Ice Hockey Championship, the final match was held between the Suru Valley Titans and Ice Warriors Taisuru. Led by Captain Qasim Ali, Ice Warriors Taisuru triumphed with a commanding 7-0 victory.

Councillor Taisuru distributed cash prizes among the outstanding maintenance committee members and hardworking staff. Additionally, the Councilor, Tehsildar, and other dignitaries presented medals, mementos, and certificates to the winners, runners-up teams, and officials. In his speech, Councilor Taisuru assured ZPEO Taisuru of his continued support and cooperation in the future.

The ZPEO Taisuru, Mohd Ishaq, expressed gratitude to the chief guest for his invaluable contributions, including establishing the maintenance committee and providing manpower for the daily upkeep of the ice hockey rink at Youljuk. He also thanked BMO Taisuru for providing first aid services and SHO Panikhar for ensuring law and order at the venue.

On the occasion, Block Development Officer Taisuru, Rukhsar Ahmad, I/C Block Medical Officer Tai-Suru, Dr. Umar, Headmaster High School Youljuk, and Mohd Hassan were present.

The closing ceremony was a fitting end to a series of well-coordinated events, leaving participants and spectators with fond memories and a stronger sense of community spirit.
