2 thieves arrested in Doda | Stolen govt property recovered

Ramban, Jan 19: Doda Police arrested two thieves involved in stealing four costly inverter batteries from the Outpatient Department (OPD) Government Medical College (GMC) Hospital Doda.

Police sources said a complaint was lodged by Kamran Ahmed a sweeper in OPD Block GMC Doda at Police Station stating that on Monday night some unknown thieves after breaking the wall had stolen four batteries from the OPD Block of GMC Doda

They said a case was registered and an investigation was started.

They said later Police with the help of CCTV footage identified the thieves as Mubarak Ali son of Abdul Rashid resident of Sadiq Abad Doda and Ashiq Hussain son of Abdul Gaffar resident of Pranoo Bhaderwah involved in the theft.

They said the thieves were arrested and stolen properties (Batteries) were recovered.

Both the thieves were booked vide a case FIR No. 12 of 2024 under relevant sections of law registered at Police Station Doda.

Further investigation of the case is going on.
