2 terrorists arrested for Poonch attacks: ADG Jammu
Rajouri, Oct 19: Security forces have arrested two hybrid terrorists affiliated with Jammu and Kashmir Ghaznavi Force (JKGF) with three hand grenades and one pistol have been recovered from their possession.
Accused were involved in a series of terror incidents including five incidents of grenade attacks in different areas of Poonch district.
Addressing a press conference at Poonch, ADG Jammu Anand Jain termed it as a major success for forces especially with respect to local recruitment of terrorists.
"We have arrested two hybrid terrorists recovering hand grenades, pistols from their possession," he said .
Police, in an official statement said that on Friday, in a joint operation of J&K Police alongwith army 37 RR of Indian Army and 38th Battalion of CRPF, a terrorist was apprehended who has been identified as Abdul Aziz son of Abdul Rehman resident of Hari.
He was arrested from a naka with two live hand grenades were recovered from his possession.
"During investigation one more grenade was recovered from his house while his another accomplice identified as Manwar Hussain son of Roshan Din resident of Hari Surankote was also arrested in subsequent raids," police said adding that Manawar has been arrested alongwith one pistol, magazine and nine rounds.
During investigation, police stated, it emerged that both terrorist are working for terrorist organisation Jammu Kashmir Ghaznavi Force (JKGF).
