2 teenagers briefly detained over dangerous bike stunts in Ganderbal

Ganderbal, Dec 29: Jammu and Kashmir Traffic Police (Rural) detained two teenagers and seized their bikes for doing dangerous stunts on roads in central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district, officials said on Friday.

The boys were later handed over to their families after counselling. An official told Greater Kashmir that a team of Traffic Police Rural headed by DySP Traffic Rural Ganderbal Mudasser Ahmed traced and detained two teenagers whose video of doing stunt biking had gone viral on social media.

The official said that two stunt bikers from district Ganderbal whose recent stunt videos had gone viral on social media were identified by Traffic Police Rural Kashmir.

Both the bikes were seized and challaned for stunt biking offence under relevant sections of MV act. He said that moreover the duo along with parents were called to the office of SSP Traffic Rural Kashmir on Friday , where they were counselled and asked not to indulge in such life threatening acts.

Traffic Rural Kashmir has requested civil society members, parents and youngsters to make collaborative efforts to ensure that youngsters desist from such hazardous acts that may cost precious lives.
