2 properties worth crores of rupees attached in Poonch

Rajouri, Jan 9: For the first time police has seized properties of notorious narcotics peddlers valuing crores of rupees.

The attached properties are located in Mendhar Kotan and Digwar villages of Poonch and Mendhar sub-divisions in border district.

This is first such action against narcotics peddlers taken by Government authorities.

DIG Rajouri Poonch range, Dr Haseeb Mughal said that no stone is left unturned to take legal action against narcotics peddlers and seizure of their properties suspected to be accumulated using money of narcotics trade.

He said that in 2023, police in Poonch district for the first took action on this front in which houses, vehicles and other property worth crores of rupees belonging to notorious narcotic peddlers were seized.
