2 mortar shells recovered in Kathua

Jammu, Sep 29: Security forces Friday defused two live mortar shells which were recovered in a field along the International Border (IB) in Patti Meru village of Hiranagar in Kathua district.

Police said that these old yet live mortal shells were first noticed by a farmer while ploughing his fields. “After getting reports about it, police and Border Security Force (BSF) personnel reached the spot and seized these shells. They, later, safely defused them,” police added.
