New Delhi, Mar 30: As part of India’s ongoing humanitarian assistance to Myanmar in the aftermath of the Myanmar earthquake, two more naval ships—INS Karmuk and LCU 52—set sail today, March 30, carrying additional relief material for affected communities in Yangon.

The four ships are carrying a total of 52 tons of relief supplies, including food, drinking water, medicines, clothing, and other emergency essentials.“Our priority is to ensure timely assistance to those in need,” said an Indian Navy spokesperson.

“With these deployments, we reaffirm India’s role as the region’s ‘First Responder’ in times of crisis.” Operation Brahma, launched under the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), is being executed in coordination with the Integrated Defence Staff, the Indian Army, the Indian Air Force, and the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF). The mission highlights India's commitment to supporting its neighbours through humanitarian aid and disaster relief efforts. As the naval ships make their way to Yangon, further assistance efforts are expected in the coming days.
