2 livestock animals electrocuted in Kupwara

Kupwara, May 12: Two live stock animals were electrocuted to death due to allegedly faulty service-line in Muqam-i-Shahwali village in Kupwara on Sunday afternoon.

Animals, including a valued milk yielding cow and a bull, were electrocuted to death at Davood Colony Muqam-i-Shahwali, causing substantial loss to the owners.

The locals of the area have expressed strong resentment against authorities for failing to repair the faulty service-line resulting in today's unfortunate incident.

They said that the department was apprised about the faulty service on multiple times but to no avail. The residents said that the affected families may be provided compensation for the loss rendered to them.
