2 killed in Reasi road accident

Ramban, Feb, 27: Two persons were killed and two others injured in a road accident in Reasi today.

The accident occurred when a Maruti Van bearing registration number JK20A- 8411, which was on its way to Thub from Reasi plunged into a gorge near Thub . Two persons travelling in the van died on the spot whereas two others sustained injuries.

Officials sid that on getting information a police team from nearby Police Post Thanole reached the spot and they with the help of locals retrieved two bodies and two injured persons and shifted them to a nearby hospital.

Police identified the deceased persons as Rashpal Singh son of Munshi Ram and Ganesh Singh son of Baldev Singh both residents of Thub, Tehsil Thakrakot, Reasi died on the spot.

They said two others sustained injuries.

Police identified two injured persons as Raj Singh son Baldev Singh and Sanjay son Munshi Ram both residents of Thub, Thakrakote.

They said both the injured have been shifted to District Hospital Reasi for treatment.

Senior Superintendent of Police, Reasi, Mohita Sharma confirmed that two persons were killed whereas two others were injured in a car accident in Police Post jurisdiction of Thanol in Reasi district on Tuesday evening.
