2 killed, 14 Injured in road mishap near Gumri in Drass

Drass, Jul 16: In a tragic road accident early Wednesday morning, two persons lost their lives while 14 others sustained injuries after a passenger vehicle skidded off the road near Gumri, en route to Drass.

According to officials, the mishap occurred at around 5:45 AM when the vehicle, carrying a total of 17 passengers, met with the accident under mysterious circumstances, as per KNS.

While two individuals died on the spot, eight others sustained grievous injuries and six were reported to have suffered minor wounds. The driver of the vehicle reportedly escaped without injuries, it said. All the injured passengers were rushed to a nearby health facility for medical attention.

Police have taken cognizance of the incident and initiated further investigation into the cause of the accident.
