2 injured in Bhata Dhurian landslide

Rajouri, Mar 11: Two persons were injured in a landlide at the Bhata Dhurian tunnel on the Jammu-Rajouri-Poonch National Highway today.

The tunnel work was commenced just a week ago,and land digging was in progress when a portion of the soil fell on the labourers. Officials said that the injured labourers have been identified as Tazeem Hussain and Vikram Singh, residents of Ramban. Duo, officials said, were immediately shifted to the civil hospital for treatment where they are currently undergoing medical treatment and are reported to be stable.

The authorities have launched an investigation into the incident to determine the cause of the landslide and ensure that necessary measures are taken to prevent such incidents in the future.
