2 drug smugglers booked under PIT-NDPS Act in Sopore: Police

Srinagar, June 28: Two drug smugglers were booked under the PIT-NDPS Act in Sopore, Police said.

A statement of J&K Police issued here said that after obtaining orders from the competent authority, it booked the duo Nasir Ahmad Siraj of Hanfia Colony Arampora, Sopore, and Muhammad Nadeem Mir of Behrampora, Rafiabad under the PIT NDPS Act and lodged them at Central Jail Kot Balwal, Jammu.

Police said that many cases had been registered against these drug smugglers but they had not mended their way and were still involved in the drug abuse trade by supplying drugs to the local youth of Sopore.
