2 drug peddlers arrested in Reasi: Police

Ramban, Dec 4: Reasi police arrested two notorious drug peddlers and recovered 3.31 gms heroin (Chitta) from their possession on Monday.

Police sources said a police party of Police Station Reasi arrested Kulbir Singh resident of Dharan Thakrakote Reasi and from his possession, one gram heroin/Chitta was recovered. A case under relevant sections of NDPS Act was registered at Police Station Reasi and an investigation was initiated to unearth the forward and backward linkages.

They said during the investigation a backward link was zeroed and further raids were conducted in which the main drug peddler Nasir Ahmed son of Mohammad Ghani resident of Badori, Bari Brahmana was arrested and 2.31 grams of heroin was recovered from his possession,

The whole investigation and operation was carried out by the SHO Reasi Inspector Vijay Sharma under the supervision of DySP headquarters Reasi Neeraj Padyar.

While sharing the details Senior Superintendent of Police Reasi Amit Gupta retreated, and conveyed that Reasi police is committed to eradicating the menace of drug abuse from the area.
