2 die in Rajouri road mishap
Rajouri, June 30: One person and his son died while eight other persons were injured in multiple road accidents across Rajouri and Poonch districts.
Police said that a car accident occurred at Larkuti on Rajouri Kotranka Budhal road in the district on Sunday evening when a car JK11A 3869 on way to Shahpur from Rajouri fell in roadside gorge at Larkuti.
In the accident, police said, Shakeel Ahmed (40) son of Ghulam Nabi and his son Mohammad Mukhtar (18), resident of Krag Morha lost their lives.
Shamim Akhter, wife of deceased Mohammad Shakil, has received serious injuries in the accident and she has been admitted in Government Medical College Rajouri where her condition is critical.
Alongside, two people travelling in a Tata Mobile Vehicle for injured when the vehicle collided with a bus at Narian on Jammu- Rajouri national highway.
The accident took place in the jurisdiction of Rajouri police station and both the injured were rushed to GMC Associated Hospital where they are under treatment.
Alongside it, four people sustained injuries when a car JK02AG 0078 on way from Mendhar to Mankote turned turtle at Mankote.
The injured include Rabina Kosser wife of Mohd Tufail, Firdous Koser daughter of Mohammad Saed, Tahira Koser wife of Mohammad Ramzan.
In another accident, two person identified as Ankit Sharma and his brother Aman Sharma, sons of Jeet Kumar Sharma, resident of Tala Tanda in Rajouris' Sunderbani got injured when a scooty they were travelling upon was hit over by an auto. The two brothers are under treatment in Sunderbani sub district hospital.
