2 die in Pattan accident

Baramulla, June 15: Two persons died in an accident in Tappar Pattan area of north Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Saturday, Police said.

Sharing details, Police said a motorcyclist and a pillion rider were left dead after the two-wheeler they were riding on collided with a cab.

Police said the duo received critical injuries in the accident and were immediately shifted to Trauma Hospital Pattan, where doctors declared them dead on arrival. “The duo had received critical head injuries and were declared dead on arrival,” an official of the Trauma Hospital Pattan said.

The duo was identified as Abdul Rehman Qureshi of Handwara and Amesh Soni of Punjab. Meanwhile, Police in Pattan took cognisance of the incident and registered an FIR in connection with the accident.
