2 dead, 2 injured in Doda accident

Ramban, Nov 4: Two persons died while two others sustained injuries after a car in which they were travelling skidded off the road and fell into a several hundred feet deep gorge on a link road in Jijote, area of Doda late Saturday evening.

Police said that a car (JK06B-5245) plunged into a gorge in the Jijote area of Doda resulting in injuries to four persons. They said that after receiving information, Police and locals of the area reached the spot and retrieved the four injured from the gorge and shifted them to Associated Government Medical College and Hospital, Doda for treatment where doctors declared the two persons as brought dead.

Police identified the two deceased persons as Ranjeet Kumar Parihar, son of Shadi Lal and Sahil Kumar Rakwal, son of  Dharam Singh, both residents of Jijote, Doda.

Police identified the two injured as Nitin Kumar, son of Bhag Singh and Surinder Kumar, son of Gori Lal, both residents of Jijote, Doda.

The hospital authorities confirmed receiving two bodies and two injured.
