Ramban, Nov 1: Two Police personnel, including the driver, were injured after a Police vehicle plunged into a deep gorge in the Shukra area of Bhalessa in Doda district of Chenab Valley on Saturday.

Police said that a vehicle (JK06A-2791) of Police Post Changa skidded off the road and fell into a gorge near Shukra, Bhalessa causing injuries to two occupants.

Soon after the incident, a rescue operation was launched, and both injured personnel were retrieved from the gorge and shifted to Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Gundoh.

After receiving first aid, they were referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) Doda for advanced treatment.

Hospital authorities at SDH Gundoh identified the injured Police personnel as Abdul Gani, son of Deen Muhammad, of Mallah, and Bhim Singh, son of Falal Singh, of Shingni Gundoh, Doda district.

The condition of both injured Police personnel was critical, officials said.
