2 booked under PSA in Kishtwar, Kathua
Jammu, Dec 26: Two persons have been booked under Public Safety Act (PSA) in Kishtwar and Kathua
Police said they were found indulged in anti national activities . Terming this as a decisive crackdown on anti-national activities, police said that it has booked two individuals under the Public Safety Act (PSA) for their involvement in subversive activities.
“Action is demonstrating a firm commitment to maintaining peace and security in the Jammu region.” said police in an official statement issued from the office of Additional Director General (ADG) Jammu zone, Anand Jain.
They have been identified as Jaffer Hussain Butt of Hunjala, Tehsil in Kishtwar and Liyaqat Ali of Lohai of Tehsil Malhar, District Kathua.
“Jaffer, a known Over Ground Worker (OGW), has been actively aiding banned organizations in their unlawful activities and his actions posed a grave threat to the stability and security of the region,.” police said.
Following thorough investigations and procedural diligence, Jaffer was detained under PSA and subsequently lodged in District Jail Kathua, police added.
The move aims to safeguard the youth of Kishtwar from being influenced by such individuals and to ensure law and order in the district.
