2 arrested with poppy straw in Ramban

Ramban, Jan 5: Ramban Police arrested two persons after they recovered eight kgs of poppy straw from their vehicle at Police Check Post, Nachlana on Srinagar- Jammu National Highway on Friday. Police sources said a police party of Police Station Banihal established a special at Nachlana, on the National Highway . They intercepted a Jammu bound (Alto) car bearing registration number JK06B- 3566. During checking eight kilograms of contraband (poppy straw was recovered from the car.

They said two persons Firdaus Ahmed resident of Mangota, District Doda and Mashkoor Ahmed resident of Village Roat, Tehsil Marmat District Doda arrested on the spot.
